My new local is proving to be quite the gem. After recently undergoing a refurb, The Oak on the Bickley high street is great for a pint, a casual chat and even some really good food.
Their Sunday roast is really solid, with options of Beef, Lamb, Gammon and Turkey (sorry, no chicken oddly). I’ve also had a really good burger here and have been impressed with both the cost, service and quality of food.
In terms of being a pub, there is a good selection of beers, including some good ales and quite good selection of bottled beers.
Additionally, they show most sport events, so it’s good to come and watch a big game. This is definitely a place I will be frequenting!
