We came for the £3.99 breakfast buffet and weren’t disappointed because our expectations were reasonably low… It’s a bargain: the food is basic, and a bit boring, but it’s not bad either: just a basic English breakfast with fried and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, tomatoes, hash browns and toast… All you want.
Take note: unlimited cups of ‘hot drinks’ adds £1.99 to your bill… Still quite reasonable if you ask me

Vegetables dont seem fresh and are hard and dried out. Potatoes often burnt. Sauces are not filled up constantly so you are hanging around for them and your food gets cold. Not wonderful but ok once in a while

great value for money! place is alwys clean, tables turned over quickly and staff and management very polite and efficient. The food is fresh and tasty and it only costs a fiver for a carvery of course you will not get a silver service here but that would have to be much more expensive to ensure more team being on. They do a great job and kets be honest, it is cheaper than cooking at home. plus you do not need to wash up after, Lovely family friendly place, would reccomend to anyone

Diabolical. We used to go here regularly but it has completely gone downhill. Dirty glasses, mess not cleared up quickly after people have left and disinterested staff. The carvery has not changed in years and staff serving you make no secret that they are bored! The worst was when we found out that it got appalling ‘scores on the doors’ rating, meaning that it is nowhere near as clean and hygienic as it could be. There’s not a lot that you can do wrong with a simple menu like a carvery, so a poor EH rating is shocking! Veg doesn’t taste fresh at all, and they have a self service area which does not offer hand sanitiser, so you don’t know whose hands you are sharing your food with. Yuck.

We’ve been to one other Toby Carvery and enjoyed the family experience so we thought we would try again at a different location. At 6:30pm on a Sunny Sunday there were plenty of tables available. We at first were seated inside, but then asked to be moved outside because it was too warm. The outdoor seating was great, except they do allow smoking.
The food was again very yummy with Turkey and Roast Beef sliced for you. As many veggies as you like are available for the picking. The down side of sitting outside is that you have to go to the bar for service. It seems silly that the servers won’t go outside.
