Very nice wood interior pub with a fine selection of ale, only down side is that it’s on the slightly more expensive side to other pubs nearby however it gets away with it. Huge tv in the back of the pub and generally a well run pub, Worth a visit or two.

My favorite pub in Canterbury. Been there several dozen times. Great crowd and drink.

Good pub in Canterbury to go for premiership games, gets packed out for the big games. I’ve been to the pub a couple times on different trips to Canterbury. The latest was for the Man U vs Arsenal game. The place was packed, standing room only for the game, and we were standing and sitting outside in the pathway to the patio, looking in through the window at the TV. There was a group dressed up as cowgirls and indian warriors that made the view that much more entertaining and hilarious. The staff serving the drinks looks mostly like university students, and the pub has a good selection of beers, price is okay. The place gets full most nights, especially on the weekends, good for a lively night out to grab a couple pints with friends.

Drinks are ok value, about £3.20 for a pint of Strongbow I think, and about £12 for the cheapest bottle of wine so not bad. They have 2 tellys, one huge one and one smaller one that they play football on — Sky Sports, Setanta, ITV etc. More ‘important’ games are played on the bigger TV e.g. premier league games. Also play rugby etc but mostly football. It is a friendly little place but yes very little! So if you’re aiming to watch a big game like Man Utd, Arsenal etc get there at least 45 minutes early! The food is nice and a good price too, Sunday roast is lovely. Bar maids are nice and friendly and they are quick with serving and collecting drinks.

I used to love this place years ago when they had fitted seats and two bars, but it has lost all it’s atmosphere now. I have nothing against a place being run by students(I had my fair share of such jobs), but it’s not exactly welcoming. However, I have had a half decent meal there and the beer’s ok. They are also open later than most of the other pubs in the area. The jukebox is also quite good.

Der Pub The Bishop’s Finger ist ein netter kleinerer Pub auf der St. Dunstan’s Street. Er ist unter Studenten sehr beliebt und verkauft gutes Bier. Allerdings kann es sehr voll werden!
