Celtic Brides

This is an updated review. Finally we had an appointment in the last 2 weeks and we weren’t allowed take pics. This is fine but I want to see the dress after to show our friend. When being given the details for the dress we asked for the name of the dress so the bride could send our other friend the details (she lives outside of Wales) and we were told no. Totally won’t go back there. Don’t see why such a problem to show us the designer pic or how we can show her.

Awful!!! Do not go to this place!!! Rude rude rudeneed I say any more? The manager does not know how to treat customers. She opened the door to let us in the shop and told us that we couldn’t look at the dresses until she was ready. She told took through every dress in the shop where other shops freely let us look ourselves. We were not allowed to touch the dress to feel the fabric. I told her what I was looking for and she picked out the total opposite. I told her I didn’t liked what she picked and her attitude changed from over the top nice to dam right rude. Even her tone of voice changed to rude. She didn’t like the fact I had my own ideas on what I want. It’s MY wedding! Shop was cold and she refused to give me any details of the dresses I liked until I place a deposit for a dress. Also I was not allowed any photos so I had to have a few sneaky pics taken when her back was turned. Will not recommend this place.

This was one of only three bridal shops I went to when I was looking for my wedding dress, it was also the worst.
I called to make an appointment a couple of days before I went there and the lady on the phone was very nice and polite. When my mother and I got to the shop (in a very strange location in my opinion) we found the shop door was locked and there was no one to be seen. Eventually a lady answered the door and we told her we had an appointment.
We were sat down on a sofa in the window of the shop whilst the lady went off to get the woman that would be seeing to us. I informed her that there was a particular style of dress that I liked but that I was open minded enough to try other styles on.
We walked over to the wracks of dresses and it soon became very obvious to my mother and I that Celtic Brides does not like you touching their dresses, nor do they like you to have an opinion on what you want to wear on YOUR big day. In the end the woman looking after us picked out a number of dresses including two massive pricess dresses for me to try on. This is when my experience got even worse…
The one thing that every woman should know about shopping for a wedding dress is that a fairly large number of people are going to see you in your underwear but it’s something you get very used to as these women are professionals. There are, however, some people that you do not want to see you in your underwear and those people would be a pack of teenage boys waiting in the bus stop outside the shop. Yes, that happened to me and I was mortified.
The changing room at Celtic Brides faces the window and the rest of the shop, it is the least private changing room I’ve ever been in.
Celtic Brides also was the coldest shop I’ve ever been in. It was January and raining outside. The two women in the shop kept saying how warm it was in the shop, which it would be when you’re wearing as much knit wear as they were, but when you’re a person with only your underwear on it’s a teeny bit chilly.
The woman seeing to me loved EVERY dress I tried on, even the two princess dresses I tried on which made me look stupid. A proper bridal shop assistant will tell you when something doesn’t suit you, this woman just wanted a sale.
There was two dresses which I did quite like, however, but she refused to tell me the name of the designer, the dress and the prices of the dresses. Fat chance of me going back there.
Very, very poor.

The bridal shop in cardiff my partner wouldnt go any where else nothing was too much trouble highly recommended
