Touché Hairdressing proudly offers one of the finest hair salon experiences, for ladies, gentlemen and children in and around the areas we operate. We combine beautifully finished salons, innovative products and best of all a fantastic stylists and staff. Whether they’re cutting hair, colouring hair, washing hair, drying hair or preparing you a drink you’ll notice there’s something special about Touché Hairdressing.

History

Established in 1980.

Touché Hairdressing (also Touché Hair Salons, Touché Hair Company, etc) has existed in Purley, Caterham, Wallington, (Selsdon and Tonbridge) for over 35 years. During this time Touché has been steered expertly, by brothers Michael and Robert Chapman, through many economic ups and downs, such as three days weeks in the 70’s, recessions with interest rates at 15%, in the 80’s we experienced freak weather conditions, a stock market crash, frequent power cuts and countless other extreme situations. Somehow we have managed to stave off the men in black and keep many of our loyal staff some of whom are still with us.

Touché Hairdressing is built on superb in training which has always been conducted in-​Salon — the young Stylists learn to work the way we have always done, i.e. thorough knowledge of Colouring, Perming, Setting and Blow-​drying and of course Cutting. But, over and above these obvious skills, we believe Customer Service is the key to any successful retail or service business.

Business Owner

Michael and Robert Chapman manage the business with their knowledge of the hair dressing industry gained over a period of around 40 years — together they keep on top of the styles of celebrities, rich and famous. Help the juniors come through and shine using their nurturing skills and ability to identify strengths to build on and weaknesses to work on. They have seen many product fads come and go and always build relationships with companies who they see offering not only quality, but also environmentally conscious products and hair styling devices.

We’re still not perfect, but we’re getting there!
