Franklins is an old fashioned haberdashery there are very few independent shops left in Chelmsford so it is nice to support one and many of the things they sell you will not find elsewhere.
They are absolute sewing machine experts not only do they sell them they also repair them and teach you how to use them.
Downstairs they have dressing making fabric and craft fabric for patchwork etc., ribbons, sewing thread, zips, braids, needles and loads more. Upstairs they keep the more crafty stuff including knitting wool, cross stitch kits, beads and more.
Not only do they sell all this stuff but all the staff are mines of information and will help you with questions and queries.
Car parking is a bit further down Moulsham Street.
