History

Established in 2012.

Providing proofreading and editing services full-​time since 2013. I have worked for a variety of clients including students, researchers, publishers and businesses, and have developed my skills with the help of a number of training courses, including the Publishing Training Centre’s Basic Proofreading (passed with Merit).

Business Owner

I am a freelance proofreader and editor, and a Professional Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP).

I previously worked in IT for 26 years as an analyst, developer, project manager and team leader, working for the transport, financial services, government (US, state-​level), retail and telecommunications sectors. Thanks to that part of my career, I have had extensive experience of working in a well-​organised, methodical way, with an emphasis on thoroughness and attention to detail.

In another guise as a writer, I had a sports history book published (later self-​published as an e-​book, which involved re-​editing the original manuscript), and had a number of articles published in magazines and on websites.
