My recent re-exploration of Chester yielded this sensational foodie gem. I was absolutely blown away by everything here. From the brickwork layered trendy interior to the exquisite food, to its dimly lit cosy, intimate charm, warm atmosphere and exceptionally smiley and helpful staff it was all just first class. Arriving fairly late, we made it just in time for last orders of food. I tried the king prawns a la plancha(grilled on a metal plate), chicken wings pimenton and the patatas bravas. All of which were nothing short of cooked to perfection divine. The only downside to this place is it’s only around 50 covers. But as I’ve mentioned before it wouldn’t be as intimate a venue if it was any bigger. I’m gonna be honest and say I am definitely coming back here again and again everytime I’m in Chester. Having spoken to the staff at the end I was also told the proprieters are thinking of opening a Porta. I for one cannot wait.
