History

Established in 2014.

Being a lover of the great outdoors and animals, it struck me one day when I was out walking my own dogs that this could be a very rewarding career. And so I began my journey by volunteering for 50 hours work experience at Riding for the disabled to gain entry to college. I started SRUC Oatridge Agricultural College, where I received theoretical and hands on experience with numerous animals from mice to alpacas! I graduated with an A Grade HNC in Animal Care. I then went on to spend 6 months at Pets at Home to gain some more experience and it was here I realised I enjoyed caring for companion pets and helping owners care for them too.

And so Paws at the Ready was born!

Hi there, my name is Paula and welcome to Paws at the Ready!

After graduating from Oatridge Agricultural college with an A grade HNC in Animal Care I spent some time working at Pets at Home, and loved meet the customers and their dogs everyday. So I decided to start my own business offering my services to busy pet owners needing a helping hand with their furry friends.

I am a lifelong animal lover and owner with experience handling a number of different species from hamsters to horses. I am disclosure Scotland checked, have a full clean driving license and fully insured giving you reassurance and peace of mind.
