* increase the volume of recycling which can be sorted and pre-​treated by your waste operator

* leave both those streams uncontaminated

Established in 2010.

Gwen Powell identified this «third waste stream» whilst working at Rank plc’s head office in Maidenhead. She is now running 4 pilot sites successfully and hopes to launch the start-​up business venture in the summer of 2010.

Business Owner

My name is Gwen Powell, born and bred in South Africa but proudly originating from good Welsh stock. I immigrated to the UK 12 years ago and for the past 10 years I’ve been happily living in Cippenham, midway between Maidenhead & Slough, not far from Windsor in Berkshire.

I have worked in the Legal Profession for over 17 years, starting as a secretary, working my way up to a Paralegal in Conveyancing and lastly fulfilling the role of an Administrator in the Legal Department of a large UK Company. In other words: I have been shuffling papers around on a desk for FAR too long… but, I also have an insight into how small, medium and large businesses work from the inside. I feel comfortable in the corporate world but not entirely fulfilled.

I am now taking the first steps into launching my own SME and the future looks bright.
