You know the feeling, Sunday morning, drag yourself out of bed, can’t be bothered to cook breakfast. So yourself and your partner head off into your new neighbourhood in search of a nice english greasy spoon. We walked and we walked and we walked beginning to think the english breakfast tradition had not made it as far as Corby we stumbled upon this lovely little place and buy how wrong we were! Catering for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, there was a breakfast menu to rival any. starting with a normal breakfast for the sparrow like amongst us, to the medium breakfast for those with a slightly healthier appetite up to large which, well, if a hungry elephant had passed by it would’ve struggled to finish it. The tea and coffee were fresh and distinctly lacking the typical café taste. The breakfast when it arrived was extremely well cooked, remarkably greaseless and a pleasure to finally eat! This restaurant was voted 3rd best café in britain and i have to say we weren’t disappointed. The only minor niggles being that a busy sunday morning meant a slight mix up in orders with mushroom and tomato being added to my tomatophobic companions plate and the menus really do need to be replaced with new, slightly less creased copies. Aside from that very very good indeed!
