An OK pub with some character but can’t really put my finger on it. Not a pub for me. A wanaby themed pub but trying to stay local and making a hash of it. Went somewhere else.

Not a bad job since the new owners have taken over with the ‘dotty’ theme. Has decent opening hours and a good spread of better quality customers; try the Royal Oak if you want something a bit more ‘basic’. The landlord could be chatty/​friendly, but just tends to stand in an imposing way, behind the bar. All in all, an ok pub for food and drink.
