Cosmo services a particular clientele. The kind that just wants to stuff their face with all the food they can. We all feel that way some times, Some more than others, and that’s when you go to Cosmo. There is no way this is going to be healthy for you, just leave your guilt at the door and enjoy yourself. For the cost of a main at a mid-range restaurant elsewhere you get access to an all you can eat buffet for two hours. The buffet includes : * Brief selection of sushi — ok, will scratch that itch but not great. * Random fried starters — good if you grab from a fresh batch. * Greasy hot Asian food — red curry, green curry, black bean something, sweet and sour whosit. It’s Not blow your mind away amazing but it’s fairly decent. * Decent selection of popular Indian dishes. Recommend. * Noodle soup made to order. * Tepanyaki made in front of you.(My favourite). Recommend. * Pizza * Grill station — chicken wings, ribs, roast(my 2nd favourite) just eating a pound of ribs and chicken wings would be worth the price of admission. * Desert selection of cakes, mousses, ice cream, chocolate fountain, fruits. I usually gorge on Eton Mess. Soft Drinks are a few quid extra for a bottleless cup. Alcohol selection is basic and expensive, best to avoid. This isnt a date/romantic restaurant unless you’re into debaucherous food orgies or something. But bring the wife and family(people you feel comfortable loosening your belt around). There’s a great selection food and everyone will be satisfied. It all tastes pretty good. Cosmo. When you ABSOLUTELY have to eat this month’s calories in one sitting.

I’ve eaten at Cosmo quite a few times. I really enjoy their overall flavour of everything, but each time afterwards I feel a bit sick. This might be because I eat too much, as it is an unlimited buffet, but I also think it’s because of the high levels of MSG in the foods, salt, and high sugars. There’s no «healthy options» at this place really. But they are one of the best buffets in Coventry with plenty of seating. Don’t plan on showing up on a Friday night and not expecting to wait atleast 15 minutes. My husband and I still eat here every couple months, usually for lunch as the price is so incredibly low, but if we have proper guests in town we tend to patron different restaurants with healthier options. They have a huge dessert bar, but most everything is either from a bag, can or the freezer. I do love their after dinner mints at the till though! If you want loads of flavour, then this is your place!

I have eaten here over 20 times now and tend to go for a meal every few months, but I used to eat here every 2 weeks! The reason I stopped eating here is because I got a copy of their ingredients and boy was I shocked!!! I actually had to sign a waiver too… I know why now. MSG and other nasties in most of their sauces. I’m just surprised that British people STILL don’t understand the dangers of MSG and other chemicals that the Chinese add to their sauces, this is all fact. But aside from this, I’m giving the restaurant a 4 star rating because the food just tastes so good! Delicious actually! So much choice and a great selection… I’m not a huge fan of the dessert bar though as you can tell that many of the desserts are pre-frozen and quite cheap, the flavours are quite weak too. But I love the chocolate fountain — that does it for me! They also have a great grill where a chef cooks you 2 items of meat of your choice, I like this as I order squid and shrimp, they are absolutely delicious. The drinks are slightly overpriced but I guess that’s where they make their money, I can’t complain as the price per head is pretty low overall. A good place to eat, 4 stars :)

Does the job if you just want an all you can eat moderately priced experience. I will say the food was all stocked and on the most part hot. The chips were soggy and the sauces had been sat there for so long they had all grown a skin the desert section was just your standard jelly and ice cream, there was a fondu but only marshmallows, where’s the fresh strawberries at?! Doubtful I would go back but it wasn’t totally horrendous.

To be honest, I’ve never expected it could be that good with that low price. Dishes there been served are amazing and really tasty. Waitresses are really friendly and helpful. I would very like to suggest my friend to try this buffet. It will never disappoint you.

It is an ok place when you want to eat a lot of food for cheap, other than that avoid weekends, this place is so busy and loud. It feels like eating in a cantine.

The best all you can eat asian buffet in Coventry! If you are ready experience death by food, this is the place to go! It’s amazing! Eat until you drop. Not not just asian food but many other main meals avaliable also such as pasta, carvery, pizza, fish and chips, salad, veggies. Staff are very efficient and helpful. Be prepared to be so full you can’t walk!

It’s ok. That’s really all I can say. This is a standard worldwide cuisine buffet. They do a lot of everything to a reasonable standard. As a veggie I’m harder to please than most and there’s not a lot of options for veggies(and more annoyingly the items aren’t clearly labelled). However it is diverse and they do a good dessert selection. As Coventry restaurants go(of which there’s few) it’s worth a shout. As long as you know what to expect you should be quite happy.

Well worth the money! It’s the best deal I have got having Asian style buffet. I’ll have to pay 20 for the same thing in London. The range is very satisfactory. With Chinese, Sushi, Indian food and various sweet desserts. Interestingly, they have a small noodle section where you can ask the Chinese chef to make fried noodles or noodle soup for you, with ingredients you choose! I like the taste a lot. Overall, it’s definitely somewhere I’d recommend to my friends. I went there twice within a week during my short stay at Coventry. I am even thinking about going all the way there from London again with my boyfriend. We’ve tried so many Chinese buffets at Chinatown, not to mention we need to double/triple the cost, but we simply haven’t found such a range of choices.

Stopped in on a Sunday with a group of five. Considering you get an unlimited amount of food from several hot buffets, I would say the mmm, roundabout £15 price per person is worth it. You DO only get about 90 minutes to eat(the waiters inform you of the time limit as you sit down), but after a few plates that took us 25 minutes to consume we were absolutely stuffed. Among the food choices are sushi, Chinese, Indian, quite a number of vegetarian options(my veggie friends were pleased as they usually only get 3 – 4 options in other places), and your standard American/UK cuisine with a large dessert bar. Also, chocolate fountain. Go try it!

Totally the best buffet I have ever been to. Quality of the food is amazing, which is always a worry at an all you can eat place. Love going here, the staff are really well trained and work well under the pressure — every time i’ve been it’s been really busy. That adds to a great atmosphere. Love how the menu of main dishes and desserts change every so often, though they still keep the classic chinese and thai dishes. Best place to eat in Coventry by far, even the décor is gorgeous with a big swinging chandelier and flowers in the lobby.

Cosmos Coventry is very poor! My meal(Chicken) that was supposed to be hot was like ice and it made me feel ill and i lost my appetite for days. The waiter was very unhelpful and was extremely rude! Apart from the food the place itself was quite dirty and on our way out around dusk we were shocked when we saw a large Black rodent scurrying along the outside of the building towards the back. We will NOTBE going again!

This restaurant gets the thumbs up from me! Lots of Asian dishes to satisfy your taste buds, and no hanging around for your food to arrive as the food is served buffet style. This means you can more or less go up straight away after arriving. The décor is pleasant here, with the restaurant at the top of a winding staircase with a glorious chandelier that I always admire. Plenty of seating with it being ideal for a large groups. There is a sushi station(this is where you will likely find me), a Yaktori Grill, Indian Tandoori and Curry Bar, Noodle and Wok Bar, Teppanyaki Bar, Dim Sum, and a Dessert bar for those who have a sweet tooth and plenty of fresh fruit. I agree that plates can be too small here, but I perhaps that stops diners piling up their plates and wasting food? The food here is of good quality, and there is plenty of it with waitresses replenishing food items when they get low. You can make bookings online via their website. A superb restaurant!

We were famished after shoe shopping and decided to hit up a place in Coventry. We found Cosmo through other Unilocal reviews(c’mon UK, we really need more reviewers here!!!) and it was only about a 17 minute walk from the shopping centres over here. Along the way, I got to see the outside of Ikea, too. Mmmmm swedish meatballs… I was really impressed when we walked inside! The interior is absolutely stunning. You walk up a twisty beautiful staircase to the first floor for seating, and it’s almost a bit overwhelming at first looking at the variety of buffet style food. I chose a bit of a healthier theme, eating sushi, salmon, miso soup(with veggies, two different noodles, seaweed, shrimp, imitation crab), thai curry and veggies. My partner in crime got a bit more of the fried variety, but it looked very appetizing. The Cons: The desserts were lackluster in taste. Though visually VERY appealing I was disappointed that everything tasted so … bland. I was also disappointed that the sushi variety was very white-washed and watered down. It was very disappointing sushi. I also had a bit of a cultural awakening. Some of the dishes I chose had large shrimp in them BUTTHESHELLSWERESTILLON! WTF?!! I was seriously shocked by that. I thought maybe it was a mistake and asked the manager about it but apparently this is a traditional way to cook thai food. I had no idea. Not something I would chose to do personally, but there you go. Overall, the price is pretty good: £12.50 per person for 1.5 hours of buffet style eating. But overall, the quality was just bland. I would go here again with a large group of people but probably not just for two.

The best value in all of Coventry. This place is almost overwhelming with the number of food stations and the variety of food available. It’s technically asian, but they use this term pretty loosely having chinese, thai, indian, japanese, etc. It is likely every country was in there somewhere… they probably had nepalese food in there somewhere. They even have a big desert selection including Eaton Mess. Just don’t come here expecting something fancy — the décor, chaos and service reminds me of a dim sum restaurant in Hong Kong.

— great looks — huge variety of food — you pay £12.50, and you go and get your food, as much as you can eat, you pay drinks! — you need to go around yourself, self-service — deserts, chocolate fountain — great sushi — have a bar downstairs if you wait for people to join you, have some pre-drinks — clean bathroom — people tend to be dressed a bit more fancily can normal

I’ve only been here once with friends and was seriously impressed. There’s a great selection of dishes from around Asia so there’s something for everyone. The teriyaki is particularly tasty. The décor is very modern, lots of bright clean spaces which is pleasing to the eye. The food is well laid out and arranged so you rarely have to wait to get to the dish you want. The price is reasonable too, we’ll definitely be back again
