I don’t know what has happened to this store. The staff used to be friendly, and some of them still are, but there are now a number of staff who are deliberately obtuse and unhelpful. The range of stock is huge, and the store is packed to the rafters — it can be a little difficult to move around on Saturdays when they’re busy. Parking is frequently a nightmare, with only one small layby that it shares with other shops on the busy London Road. Prices are okay, but can’t compete with the internet (and you should ignore the sign outside promising to beat internet prices, I have never managed to get them to honour it). On the whole, the store is like an old friend who has suddenly gone a little frosty on you. I now shop elsewhere when possible.
