Caffe Concerto

I have a sneaky feeling this company buys the same style cakes to Patisserie Valerie. VEEEEERRRRY sneaky.
I think Caffe Concerto is one of the better places in this part of the shopping centre, it’s centred inbetween quite high end places like Cote brasserie, Loch Fyne, Carluccios, zizzi’s and uh. waterstones. i think there is a Byron coming soon too (I.WILL.BE.ON.THAT)
Anyways, Highly recommend lunchtime, two course meal for £9.95, or three courses for £11.90. No supplementary charges on meals too. My Chinese mother totally raves about this place, Why? They serve lamb shank which fell off the bone as soon as you touched it, amazing dish. I ordered the Duck Confit which was okay at best, the duck was really salty but there didn’t seem to be a depth of flavour. Both dishes came with a mountain of mash, when i say mountain, think himalayas. (I even made it look like himalayas!) I’m not too keen on mash so I left most of mine. I actually think their sandwiches are much better made. The teas and coffees are also stellar. (Once upon a time, before I was caffeine free, i drank their iced caffes, the ones here are a bit lousy compared to westfields ones, think they put too much milk and I wanted more coffee so they put an extra shot of coffee in it for no charge because they’re nice people!)
It’s actually the perfect place for mothers day afternoon tea, apart from the fact it’s in a draughty place so mothers may complain about being cold. You know how they are!
