Always good food from various meats, cheese, pies, ready made meals, etc. Friendly staff always.

So word of mouth and a 5 star Unilocal review sent me here, plus it’s like a 5 minute drive/​15 minute walk from my own house. I couldn’t not go. I also dragged my whole family along for a sandwich lunch.
Dennis of Bexley is an award winning butchers and deli, that USED to be in the village and then it moved to Bexley Park where all the new town houses are. The prices definitely reflect the area. Between us, we decided to go for broke and just ordered pretty much half the deli bar. The hot BLT sandwich, the bacon was LOVELY, not too salty either. The roast beef baguette could’ve have a little more horseradish on, and the baked pastries-​bacon and cheese/​lamb samosa could’ve had a a bit more cheese and a bit more spice respectively. The hot steak and cheese baguette is just value for money, if you’re going to go, i highly recommend that! We spent the lunch hour in the rather posh seating area enjoying our sandwiches.
If only the sandwiches had a bit more finesse, a little bit more extra care in making them. It would be perfect. I’ll definitely be back because it’s so close to home and because it’s such a cute little place.
Clientele, from builders to soccer mums to office people. The amount of land rovers driving in and out to get lunch from this place was surprising. They’re doing pretty well for a butchers even if everyone is just heading to the deli bar (I didn’t see anyone actually buying the raw meat.)

So I happened to be driving past this place and was feeling a little hungry. It’s a butchery and also a deli, with lots of yummy looking food. I can’t comment on the meat (even though it looks very fresh with lots of different kinds and cuts) because I headed straight for the deli side. They do fresh sandwiches, food such as pork pies and sausage rolls which would be great for picnics, and also coleslaw, potato salad etc. I had a sausage roll which was perfect and every time I pass by I want to stop in. This will become a regular lunch place for me.

This place is butchertastic, an oasis of meats an pies. its by no means cheap but you can buy some lovely stuff that just needs to be shoved in the oven an you’ll make gordon ramsay look like he serves pot noodle. They do fresh made sarnies an rolls plus the best scotch pies I’ve found locally. Set in a strange location an you’ll probably have to drive to find it but give it whirl.

This shop used to be in the middle of Bexley village but was forced out by thye high rates. the new premises aren’t too far away and are well worth the visit. The meat is the best you can buy and their home made pies and sausages are delicious. This is the place to visit if you want to impress with a barbecue. They have a deli which makes delicious sandwiches etc and they will deliver buffet food within the locality. At Christmas this is the only one place to buy fresh Turkey, Goose or Duck
