History

Established in 2014.

The first web site I coded was in 1994 and for many years I was a freelancer, working at nearly 1 in 5 agencies across 2 counties. During that time, the industry went through many changes — not all of them for the better.

In the beginning, websites were a part-​time side line, with emphasis still firmly upon traditional marketing techniques. 10 years later, agencies across the area had grown to employ hundreds of staff in huge office complexes. Currently, with the growth of CMS packages and template websites, many of those large companies have either disappeared or shrunk. The number of websites being written has risen, but many of the remaining agencies simply farm out the work, often abroad, to the cheapest bidders. Experience levels have dropped and the turn over of staff risen. Unfortunately, many of the agencies left, may not put the customer first.
