we stayed here one night and were pleasantly surprised to find a room with all the mod cons working in a very quiet section at the back of the very old inn and were able to pull our car right up into the property (and not be parked a long way away which often happens with old hotels in middle of old towns!). There is still quite a bit of the old building left so you get to experience that. There was a nice restaurant there where we had a decent breakfast and all staff were pleasant and professional.

Estuve pasando unas vacaciones en Dorking y me hospede en el White Horse, una antigua hospederia donde paraban las diligencias y carruajes, Alli Charles Dickens, escribio varias de sus obras y yo tuve el honor de pasar mi estancia alli en la habitación donde siempre estuvo el Sr. Dickens, aunque restaurado y habilitado ahora como hotel conserva algunas zonas de lo que fué en su origen y las habitaciones son tan confortables que te da perece salir de ellas, tienes de todo, para hacerte café, todo tipo de infusiones y tés, una gran variedad de dulces pastas y galletas y todo ello te lleva a un viaje imaginario a sus origenes.
