Great way to spend time in Eastbourne. We did whilst at a wedding. Fascinating variety of objects on display, all of which have been well looked after. Some 100,000 we believe. Very much a trip down Memory Lane for some of us, especially if you remember Rationing! On street parking available.

Beeindruckende und liebevoll zusammen gestellte Sammlung von Haushaltsutensilien uns Gebrauchsgütern der letzten Jahrzehnte. Vom Tennisschläger über Töpfe bis hin zum Waschmittel eine umfangreiche Sammlung, welche insbesondere auch für Kinder sehr interessant sein dürfte.
Die älteren Generationen werden sicherlich den einen oder anderen Gegenstand aus ihrer Kindheit wieder entdecken. :)

If I had read the review by Tabun 38, I think I may have given this a miss, I did have difficulty with the stairs but despite that I spent over an hour in this great little museum.
It was well worth the effort with the stairs.

This is a lovely little shop come museum of past times (shops etc inside with old goods on display). I went here when I was still able to climb stairs so I must point out that this place is not at all disabled friendly, due to it being in such an old building, so if you’re in a wheelchair it’s a no no or even if you can’t manage stairs like me now. Nice otherwise and lovely gift shop.

What a lovely shop. Full of interesting bits and pieces. Great place for children to see the kind of things their parents or grandparents were used to. Definitely worth a visit with the kids.
