History

Established in 2013.

Started the wool shop in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh near the Meadows, because it is so difficult to find specialist and unusual wools and accessories, and I needed to be near my children’s school.

I love visiting wool shops when I go abroad, but they are very rare these days. I stock wool from the UK and also from around the world. I also hope that the shop’s various knitting and crochet classes will help to keep the craft alive and to create new interest.

Business Owner

My background has always been in new business development in various Emerging Markets. Knitting and wool became a passion, when I started knitting again after the birth of my second child and was taking some time off to think what to do next. When my husband’s work took us to Beijing, I got involved in a few expat knitting groups. It was an amazing experience and I got to meet some wonderful friends from the US and Europe who knitted. At the same time, I discovered an amazing yarn producer who had the most beautiful wools I have ever seen and the rest is history.
