Having recently changed hands, I wasn’t sure to expect from what was my all time favourite bar as a student. Happily, what was good has been left the same, and what wasn’t great has been improved. The selection of beers is better than it was before, and the service is still just as good.
However, bring back the little crunchy chocolates that used to be on the bar the boiled sweets just aren’t the same!
My only real complaint would be the large TV screens, they never have the sound playing through the bar’s stereo, so all they are is a distraction when you are trying to have a chat they would be awesome for sports etc, but I don’t think anyone really goes there to watch the rugby or the football maybe some sort of fish tank/​fireplace DVD would be appropriate, especially later in the evening.
