If you are into quality jewellery, Goodwins Antiques is the place to go. Situated in Rose Street, Goodwins is right in the city centre and is just round the corner from the main shopping street in Edinburgh, Princes Street, and so it is a convenient place to reach.
Goodwins sell a mixture of both antique and new jewellery and so there is bound to be something in here to suit everyone’s taste. They sell a vast range of beautiful contemporary jewellery, which is really expensive, but absolutely gorgeous. I came in here last year to look for a birthday present for myself and felt completely overwhelmed by all the huge selection of gifts available. I bought the most amazing silver bracelet, which was expensive, but so worth as it is of excellent quality and I wear it all the time. The staff in this store are always incredibly friendly and highly professional and are able to answer all of your questions.
A truly wonderful jewellery store with gorgeous stock– can’t wait till the day that I can afford their more expensive gifts!

This jewellers and antique shop does not look too smart from the outset. Antique is just about right and the place looks really old fashioned but I guess that’s because the jewellery does the talking itself.
My mum and I came here because she wanted to get my Grandmother’s engagement ring valued. I wanted it reset in white gold for my 21^st Birthday and Goodwins came highly recommended. We left it with them and awaited the phone call to collect it again.
My mum only waited a few days and the valuation was done. They were incredibly professional, almost to the point of obsessive, but I liked that because we were leaving a very valuable thing in their possession. I had a wee quick browse around the shop whilst my mum was dealing with the jeweller and the jewellery is expensive. Very expensive. But none the less, absolutely stunning with real class and charm to every piece.
If only I could afford one of the beautiful pieces from here, maybe one day!
