Holyrood Aparthotel

This is a nice clean place in a great location for all the tourist and dining activities in Old Town. The rooms are clean and large with comfortable beds. The only reason I didn’t give this a 4 star rating is the noise early in the morning. The windows are not very sound proof so all the cars, garbage trucks and people recycling bottles are loud early in the morning. If you are a light sleeper like me you might need ear plugs otherwise you should be fine. Again, I think this is a great choice if you want an easy walk to all the fun stuff in Old Town.

Haven’t visited Edinburgh for a long time. I brought my family to visit this Summer. Stayed in London for couple days then we took a train up to Edinburgh. By the time we got there, it’s 9pm. The hotel is very unique and you won’t miss it. Very close to the train station. Just 5 mins taxi ride. Rooms are huge. We got an apartment! We have two bed rooms with 4 beds altogether. Two shower bathrooms. A living room and a huge kitchen. Great service. Walking distance to the Royal Mile. Highly recommended!

This is my earliest memory of Edinburgh. I came down here with my family to visit the city for the first time, and fell in love. These apprtments are brilliant, they are really modern with great colour schemes and are really comfortable and easy to live in. At that time, I was the youngest of a family of 5, so we were used to being crammed together but in these appartments you wouldn’t notice. The doors are quite heavy, and we got a complaint from the neighbours for slamming them — which we weren’t! — so be wary of the weight of them. It’s a really nice place to stay in a nice part of the city, if you’re a family looking for somewhere cheap I would thoroughly recommend this.

ust got back from the Holyrood Aparthotel and it was good value for money.
There were only two of us but we got 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms for the price you’d pay for a single cramped room elsewhere.
The rooms are not huge, but a nice size, clean, fresh and really well equiped. You get a full kitchen and a nice living room with dining table.
now. there were a few dissapointments, the breakfast hamper is slightly underwhelming, i was expecting a bit more for the price.
In the shower room all the ‘furnature’ was falling off the wall, (the toilet roll holder etc) and the showers do a strange thing of staying on for a few minutes after you’ve turned them off. Room 302 BTW.
and the tv had no freeview despite it being advertised (tried for over half an hour to get it going following the instructions in the welcome pack, with no luck)
All minor complaints! These were just little things that grated during the stay.
But for high quality, good value, at a decent price this is a top top stay in edinburgh.
