So, when you see an establishment that charges half (if not a quarter!) of what everywhere else charges for a service… you get suspicious.
Unless you’re a miserly aul crank, then you get excited and are totally willing to take the risk (that said, I hadn’t seen Caz’s review — otherwise I would have known the risk is negligible!) £5 for brows, £7 for brows and upper lip. Being somewhat in denial I just went for the brows. lay back for about ten minutes and bam. My wild, wandering brows were tamed. For a change, I didn’t get the ‘Your eyebrows have a weird shape… did you know that??’ — to which I usually retort ‘Brows are meant to be sisters, not twins’
I was happy with the result and the lady who carried out the ‘procedure’ was gentle and very nice all the way through. I would like to put some emphasis on the ‘gentle’ here. I’d hazard that it’s cash only, given the location.
It’s not Harvey Nics or Jenners but for a fiver you can fix your face. What more can I say?

Not been in for fabric. but stopped in earlier in the week to get my brows & upper lip done in preparation for ‘party season’ coming up.
£7 to get brown & upper lip threaded which seems to be the going rate on Leith Walk. I walked in and was seen to straight away, although two others came while I was ‘in the chair’ and were seated and had to wait. I felt like she was a bit rushed with two people waiting. Although she was still pretty thorough and much more gentle than the other place I went to a few weeks back.
Would def go back.

A haberdashery come soft furnishing come clothing store, which specialises in Ethnic style fabrics. The name reads alarmingly like part of the female anatomy, which made me do a bit of a double take upon spotting it. Now that would have been an interesting experience to Unilocal about.
This place is great for fabrics to make your own clothes, and you can pick up some great styles for very reasonable prices, and the staff here are very helpful with measurements and advice.
