This lovely guest house, built at the turn of the 19^th century, has large en-suite rooms (bathroom inside the room) and an amazing view of the Edinburgh castle. It is north of the hustle and bustle of the city (read – you can sleep at night) but an easy bus ride into the city center. It is also within walking distance of the botanical gardens. The bed is very comfortable and, by UK standards, quite a good size. The beautiful bay windows have totally effective blackout curtains. The high ceilings are covered with lovely detailing. We have enjoyed our stay so much that we are extending it.
