You will found lots of gorgeous designs to choose from and makes them to the specifications that you want. I am over the moon with my engagement ring that I have just picked up today. We will definitely be back to pick our wedding bands!

I’d also avoid these cowboys like the plague. My mother put her engagement ring in for repair and it was returned with a seriously damaged emerald which was shattered. When raised with store management, we were told it must have been given to them like that and it was actually inclusions. As the ring was put in to fix the shanks holding the emerald, you would assume that they would have pointed this out and documented it to cover themselves. There was no discussion from them, just a point blank refusal to accept any responsibility. We were left with an antique ring worth significantly less than when it was given to these butchers. We also have a wrong valuation on a brooch, by £900 and only yesterday my mother put a ring bought in 1993 from this store in to a reputable jeweller for resizing. He pointed out that the stones were not actually diamonds despite the valuation from Robert Anthony, done at the time, stating that they are. This ring was given by my father as an eternity ring, you can imagine the shock we have just experienced in finding this news that 7 diamonds are infact synthetic rubbish. It is because of this recent event that I am posting this review. More people need to be aware of this crowd. Since the emerald situation, we have found out that their reputation amongst jewellers in Edinburgh is poor to say the least. PLEASE avoid giving them your business. How many other people have been conned or suffered from an ridiculously poor level of service?

Buyer beware please go elsewhere. This lot have no customer service /​care whatsoever. If you have a complaint they will get rid of you, by any means possible which in my case meant pretty much ignoring all my calls until I was forced to write to the owner. I took my Swarovski watch in to get a new battery. They put in an old /​dud battery (!), and broke my watch at the same time! This was confirmed by a watch specialist and in writing. Not only did they question my account (and his) of this (basically intimating that we were both liars) but they then flatly refused to have anything further to do with it. They didn’t even offer to refund the cost of the (dud) battery!!! I now have a broken watch and the full costs of its repair thanks to my visit. Had never visited them before this and never will again. Dreadful company who treated a new customer with contempt. Clearly money and profit is everything, so beware. My advice AVOID!

Robert Anthony looks really grand and professional from the outside, but the customer service which I received here was truly terrible.
Situated in Rose Street, Robert Anthony is in the heart of the New Town area of Edinburgh and it is just round the corner from the main shopping street in Edinburgh, Princes Street.
I came here last year to get my bracelet fixed as the clasp had broken and they said when I handed it in that it would take a maximum of 2 weeks to fix, but it ended up taking 6 weeks — I was really unimpressed. I kept phoning them and going into the store to ask when my bracelet was ready and they kept fobbing me off, no one seemed to know anything about it, and at one point a lady denied that I ever handed the bracelet into them! I was absolutely fuming! There was obviously a massive lack of communication between the staff in the store, but I got my bracelet back fixed in the end.
To their credit, Robert Anthony do sell a beautiful range of jewellery, although it is quite pricey. This would be a nice store to buy a gorgeous piece of jewellery, but please stay away from getting repairs done at this store — it is not worth the headache!
