Fantastic products. Fantastic service. I believe their claim to offer a bigger choice of tartans than anyone else in the world because I found a massive choice in my own unusual family name when everyone else told me there was nothing available. Theyre local to me but even so would not let me visit which is my only real gripe (not insured they said) as they are mail order only but the service I got on the phone was outstanding. Helpful. Knowledgeable. And friendly without being either too familiar or condescending. For someone like me this was incredibly reassuring and when my kilt arrived the quality was way beyond expectations. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Just a brilliant experience from start to finish. Wanted a real kilt — not high street tat. So I asked around. And this name came up several times. I’m not surprised. They wove my rare tartan to order, but the price was still lower than I was quoted for bog standard kilts by other proper kiltmakers, and it didn’t seem to take any longer than others were talking about. The service was superb. Very willing to share their obvious knowledge, and help a muggins like me through my purchase from start to finish. And I got it in time for Christmas, just as promised. Result. The kilt itself is flawless. It’s hard to describe just what makes it so good, but it’s the finest garment I’ve ever owned by far. Hey, and guess what — you really DO get more female attention when wearing one! :-)

Although this is a local business (to me) that’s not why I shopped there. In fact, they trade only by phone or online. But after several purchases, I can only say it’s one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had, and the quality of goods I’ve received has been excellent.
It’s actually not easy to find really good quality kilts and tartan products nowadays as most of the high street shops frankly sell cheap junk, imported from goodness knows where. But this company offers an extraordinary choice of tartans, including from their own mill (they claim it’s the world’s largest range, and I see no reason to disbelieve them) and will make practically anything for you. My wife was utterly delighted with her long skirt for example. Highly recommended.
