YES finally, a place that does amazing take away pizza thats not a million miles away from our flat. There is a huge choice of pizzas, enough to suit everyone. They are a good size, one is enough for two people, but in our case we like to get two because we are aspiring to be fat. I haven’t sat inside yet, but I would be willing to as the interior looks great and the staff are really nice. Can totally recommend as a take away service.

We were glad to have found this restaurant as «hot & new business»(at the end of December) with quite a good grade and reviews from a few Elites. Nice list of pizzas and beers, and I find the«pairings» of both interesting. The salad was good too, with fresh ingredients. Beautiful place and nice staff!

Most probably the best place I’ve reviewed so far on my long and illustrious Unilocal career. We were served both food and drink; the waiter had a jolly beat in his step and a twinkle in his eye — fabulous! The dessert menu looked scrumptious but my friends get embarrassed when I shove laminated paper in my mouth, so no post-pizza goodies for me. Overall a lovely, vibrant pre-theatre escape for all to make merry in.

Unilocal Glasgow is judging the battle for Glasgow’s best pizza soon, but damn I wish I could nominate these guys! Kris and I decided we fancied some pizza on our Edinburgh trip so we put our fate in Unilocal’s hand and we spotted Tutto Matto. The menu look very enticing so we got out the map and off we went! What impressed me about Tutto Matto was not just the pizza, but the fact that they put as much effort into their other dishes as they do the pizzas; Kris and I ordered calamari and haggis bon bons to start and both dishes were literally perfect. The calamari was soft and crispy without being rubbery and the haggis bon bons were cooked to perfection. I ordered the Amalfi pizza(seafood pizza with garlic cream sauce instead of tomato) and Kris opted for the Glasgow pizza(square sausage, bacon and black pudding — basically a breakfast pizza), which was described by the ever-so-friendly Edinburgh student as: «…a clusterfuck of heart disease and diabetes.» Charming. However this didn’t deter us, both our pizzas were fresh, thin and crispy with the right balance of toppings so the pizza wasn’t laden. The service was excellent, the waiting staff were lovely and helpful plus there was a pretty decent range of beers, wines and other drinkables. The whole experience was relaxing and fully enjoyable, and it didn’t break the bank either, which is refreshing in Edinburgh. Next time I visit the capital I will definitely pop in for more pizza!

5⁄5 As far as the pizza goes. Thin base, really nice sauce and some great flavor combos from classic Italian to what i would call a New York Style Pizza, but Tuttomatto has given us a World Pizza selection which is worth venturing to. There was a group of us so we all share a few slices each. I had the MARRAKECH very spicy but hit the spot with a few cool beers. My friend that dose not do tomatoes had the QUATTRO, this has a roast garlic cream sauce with a blend of 4 cheeses. Really nice I would go for this next time maybe. Also tried the PEKING with Hoi Sin and duck and it works! Although i do love my classic Pizzaiola /Marinara sauce pizza this made it a bit more interesting than your usual Pizza joint. + Some other plus points was the quick service and price. A split bill of £15 for a good sized pizza, 2 pints of draft and a side of chili fires. But maybe i drank more thank everyone else! There is a lot on the menu like Burgers and a large range of baked Pastas, but it was Pizza all the way for me and i think it would be again next time. So cant speak for the rest of the menu.

These guys are going to go far. New pizza joint on the block, Tutto Mato is doing it right. Their range of pizzas are named after cities around the world, and the toppings echo the cuisine of these destinations — smoked meats and cheese for Amsterdam, haggis for Edinburgh, a full Scottish breakfast for Glasgow(hell yes!), the ubiquitous ham and pineapple of a Hawaiian, and the one I sampled this time — the Philadelphia, which is basically a Philly Cheesesteak on a pizza. I was also intrigued by the Boston which appeared to be a cheeseburger, but with pizza instead of a bun — kind of a burger/calzone hybrid. The toppings are what really sell these pizzas for me — there’s nothing wrong with the bases, cooked in their impressive wood fire ovens, but I prefer mine as thin as you can possibly get it. With prices about £8-£10 for a pizza, this place can easily compete with your well known chain pizzeria and come out on top.

Our table of 8 started with drinks; they serve wine, beers and cocktails; i tried the cocktails which was good but missing a little bit on the boozy side for my cocktail taste; i also hope that they will soon have cocktails glasses because i like to drinks a cocktail in a fancy glass but nothing i would remove a star over; We then moved on to the appetisers and it all looked very tasty; i had the crab pot and mmmmmann. It was spicy! Hopefully they will add a little jalapeño sign in front of it as a warning just because some people(like me) might not be able to handle the heat! It was really tasty and i would just recommend tutto matto to add a few slices of bread for dippings :) Now for the pizza! It was simply delicious; i think i tried about 5⁄6 different slices and all were on point! My favourite was the peking followed very closely by the philadelphia(represent :)) Finally, dessert; we had all different sundays and a lot of us tried the tiramisu sunday; at first it tasted more like a vanilla chocolate sunday but coming closer to the bottom; the tiramisu taste kicked it; i would recommend to make make more layer of tiramisu to avoid having it all at the bottom

The pizza deserves five stars as it was the perfect size, not too heavy and with an interesting selection of toppings. They were freshly prepared and arrived quickly. They are delicious and good value for money at between £7 and £11 each. The atmosphere was nice and casual and perfect for a catch up lunch with a friend. The restaurant is decorated with pizza boards describing the different pizzas. There is a huge space down stairs so lots of seating. The issue that I had was that the staff weren’t that great. I went during the opening week but still, I was eating with a male friend and the waiter explained the menu to him, asked him if we were ready to order, checked with him if our meals were ok, told him that the Sunday(that I ordered) wasn’t available, gave him the bill(that I asked for), the corrected bill was given to him, which I then paid and then(my) change was put in front of him. It started off being funny but by the end it was just annoying. I’m hoping that it was just the one person but the other staff that we interacted with weren’t that great either, one plate was cleared within seconds of finishing when the other person had ½ slice left and then it took 5 minutes to clear the second one, taking an empty glass away and then coming back to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. The food was really good so I’m willing to give it a second chance. I look forward to updating my review to reflect better service after the next visit.

This is an exciting new Italian restaurant on Nicolson Street, right across from the Festival Theatre. The décor is really wonderful inside. They’ve made a huge effort to make the place look appealing, and they’ve succeeded! For starter, I had a wee haggis pot, which was quite dry and disappointing. I don’t think the cheese worked. For main course, I ate a Hawaiian pizza(not very original, I know). It was tasty, the crust was excellent. Finally, for dessert a caramel fudge sundae. This also went down a treat, though the fudge was too concentrated at the bottom, maybe a layered system would work better. Being in a group of eight meant I got to share my pizza around and try lots of different types. Excellent! The food was washed down with a nice IPA. The menu is extensive, and the value is really good. There are some very nice-looking starters, a huge range of pizzas, and a great drinks selection too. One thing that would be simple to implement and useful would be a simple V beside vegetarian suitable options. The service was friendly and prompt, and I had a nice time overall. I will return. I wish the people running this place lots of success!

Great pizza with some interesting toppings. An OK beer selection, with some good value wines. Service is quick and very friendly. Lots of seating downstairs :)
