From the outside, the Edwardian Guest House looks a bit naff, sorry, but it does. the blue and yellow paintwork doesn’t help much, and neither, at Christmas, do the oversized coloured fairy lights. Still, inside, you pretty much get what you paid for — which is an Edwardian style B & B, for not a lot of outlay. The Edwardian offers quite impressive rooms with four poster beds and nice antique touches, for very reasonable prices, so if really retro is your thing, you’d do worse than to invest in a stay here.
Breakfast is a respectable full cooked English or toast and fruit etc, unremarkable but well prepared. The staff are polite and friendly, all in all a very satisfactory service.
