Friendly and busy pub, even in winter, real fire, three draught ales from unusual breweries and some local walking guide books for inspiration.

This is a busy pub, just off the beach at Polkerris — good food and beer BUT if so busy why not better service? We booked a table for 7, inside (as opposed to the option of sitting outside overlooking the beach), and it was all ready for us.
We ordered when the ‘waiting time indicator’ at the order point said 30 minutes. We had to wait over an hour and a quarter — and the food orders weren’t complicated. This was of slight concern with some of us with regard to eating late in the day.
The food was absolutely fine when it arrived and in that respect good ratings.
There is very limited parking at the pub, and no Disabled parking indicated. The main P&D car park for Polkerris is about 200 yards uphill.

Really nice pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and beautiful location. Didn’t try the food but menu looked nice
