Really needed food and with the local road works giving me a headache I stopped here to release the hanger No menus as such, just a few blackboards scattered around with breakfast stuff or coffee I’m sure I spotted sandwiches on Unilocal pics so I asked and they didn’t have a menu for these, they just make them up for you… But I don’t know what you have … Do I really need to ask what filling you have and then decided while you awkwardly stand staring at me Anyway chose my go to salmon sandwich and a poached egg on toast just in case either was small or unappetising … Did I mention I was hangry? The sandwich came in a baguette with some salad and Doritos decent size and a pretty good taste, fresh salmon with a peppery seasoning Poached egg on toast was just that nothing special I did order a flat white and added a sweetener to remove the bitterness of the coffee, I’m not a bitter coffee drinker, however once sweetened I really enjoyed the coffee blend Writing this as I drink the coffee so I’m unsure of the sandwich cost… I may review this should they hit me with an unexpectedly large bill… Another negative for not having a menu is unable to see if you’re being charged more than you should be! In all fairness the guy serving is lovely and the food came quickly, just nothing stands out as amazing for me to have it as a go to place. If passing I won’t hesitate to grab a coffee

Have been in here for an Espresso on several occasions now and have been disappointed by the quality each time. The places looks the part but the coffee isn’t as good as it could be. Staff always seem disinterested to me. But hey they seem to have plenty of good reviews on here so maybe it’s just me.

Can I just say that this is one of my favourite cafes ever? My partner is so in love with CCT too! We tried a very interesting Tanzanian coffee that was filtered using the Chemex. I’m not a big fan of pure coffee(I’m such a weakling) but this one was really good! Interesting flavour that got me excited! We also tasted some of their artisan chocolates! We had the ones with almond, Moroccan mint, chilli and lime, and salted caramel. As a massive fan of chocolate, I must concur that these were amazing in their own individual ways! Everything other than the chilli and lime were classic flavours, and were they good? DEFINITELY. I found the chilli and lime one so interesting! Layers of flavour, from lime to a subtle spiciness, kept gushing out into the mouth, right from when you eat it to when you swallow. I can’t choose which is my fav because they were all special and good! I recommend everyone to try them! I am definitely going back to try more coffee in different filters and more chocolate!!! Loved it so much!!!

Small, friendly and great place to indulge your coffee and chocolate habit! As soon as you walk in you can smell coffee right in your nose. Coffee was marvellous. Buy a bag of the Cranston Hill home blend just to sniff on the way home lol! Great place to go right in the heart of glasgow.

I don’t have a ton to say about this café. I stopped in after a haircut to read and drink some hot chocolate. It was not too different from most of the cafes in Glasgow. Nothing exceptional, nothing bad. They did have some Nutella-y looking chocolate spread for sale, but sadly I didn’t have enough cash on me for a jar.

That fruity roast’s just perfect If walking you have to pass several coffee joints to get to it, so you may well be coffee’d out by the time you reach it :/However, resist for the day and make your way to CC&T. If you love coffee then I’d give it a go. It’s small and can be cold in the winter, but the macchiato has a rich fruity tone which gives your taste buds a well deserved service. Let’s not forget the tea and chocolate. I’m no tea lover, but her indoors swears by their selection. So go on, spend that £2 on something worthwhile :) Visited Jan 2014

I’ve been coming here for a while now to grab my cappuccino in in the mornings without having time for something to eat to accompany my coffee. I had a meeting today hand it over a coffee and light lunch here, I’ve never noticed that they did speciality sandwiches before, maybe I just never took the time to stop and notice at what else they sold. Nice tasty selection of petit fours on display or gourmet chocolates. These guys roast their own coffee in store every Monday and the coffee roaster is on display for the customer too see. The coffee roasted in store is also available for sale to the customers.

Cappuccino is a must! So creamy and the espresso is delicious, can’t believe I’ve always walked by this place. I’ll be back for sure!

I’ve not been in this we joint for an absolute age, so when in the area for a meeting I decided to kill the spare time I had with a visit and a much needed caffeine joint. For me, the same point still apply. Great coffee, great service, good prices(1.90 for a flat white) and a nice place to chill out for a bit. If yer into yer coffee and in this area, it’s a must visit. If not, then it’s still worth a moment of your time. Off you go now!

Super friendly! What?! ‘Third wave’ coffee coupled with pleasantries? Two flat whites and a ‘I’ll just give you a taste of the hot cocoa’(read: gratis hot cocoa) later, we left happy with a bag of beans, sack of cocoa powder and a wee salt caramel truffle for our troubles. CCandT serve a small selection of ‘proper’ food as well, but, I gotta say, the coffee and chocolate are enough to get one in the door. This place is a must-visit!

Great coffee and even better chocolates. I sat watching a roasting in progress which was very cool and chatted to the bloke about the various stages involved. All in all a very comfortable coffee experience which will no doubt be repeated soon.

CC&T is just what Glasgow has been waiting for! I can’t get enough of their house blend espresso, preferably in a lovely flat white with milk textured to perfection. They’ve also got loads of single estate beans(hand-roasted daily in house) which they serve in little individual filter cups so you can really get the whole flavour of it. This is probably the only place in Glasgow that really captures the growing movement around the world that is a dedication to the art of coffee, from bean to cup. It’s as if they took a little espresso bar from Melbourne or Soho and transported the whole place back to Glasgow! My office is just down the road, and even though I have to pass 4 other places that sell coffee, it’s always worth the extra walk to pop into CC&T and have a chat with the friendly barista and nibble a few of their handmade chocolates(the pink peppercorn is pretty special!).

Coffee. Chocolate. Tea. In theory this place should be my idea of caffeine-induced heaven. I purposely sought it out having had lunch somewhere else, as I had heard good things. After finally getting to the end of Argyle Street, I settled in for some java. They DO have a lot of coffee and they do know what they’re talking about. Just in case you doubt them, the big coffee grinder sits slap bang right beside the counter. From this point onwards, however, I can’t help but compare them to the only other place I know of that brews its coffee in-house: Artisan Roast. CC&T is cleaner-cut, and the staff are friendly but a little less approachable. I did the probably very normal«stop, gawk and go ‘ummmm’ «that many customers adopt in coffee shops whilst trying to make their mind up. But unlke A.R. where banter immediately followed, the barrista just stared at me making me feel a little uncomfortable. I settled for a filter Guatemalan(I think) and biscotti, and my friend the same but a chocolate tart. The chocolate tart was AMAZING, the biscotti a little too crunchy and overdone. But the coffee was good. A few wee gripes: the view. Ok, it’s not the sort of place you’d come to get comfy and read a book. There’s only bench-like tables with tall stool seats. And it overlooks the police station. Quite bleak. Major problem: there is no bathroom. I asked. Not even a staff one I could borrow it seems. Ok, it’s a small premises and you do a great job of brewing coffee, but if you’re giving your customers good coffee and water to boot, you NEED a toilet on premises. The next 40 minutes of chat were not enjoyable for me — we all know that«just had three cups of coffee, need to…» well yeah. That feeling. Ruined the experience somewhat. Also, the chocolates. They looked delicious. I was going to buy a few. But all the flavours I wanted were sold out. Oh well. Popular, sure, but it still wasn’t great. So overall, my experience of CC&T was an ok one. The coffee is admittedly great and it is probably best as a take-out or very quick stop job. Don’t sit in and expect a leisurely, long catch-up with a friend. For me, the ‘other’ coffee house that brews in house is far more comfortable, better location, friendly barristas and more homely atmosphere. Sorry CC&T, you’re far better at coffee than any of the chains and bigger players in Glasgow, but if that’s all you’re relying on I probably can find just as good coffee somewhere that’s comfier and cosier too.

Probably the best coffee shop in Glasgow. One of the only places I know of in Glasgow that roasts and grinds the coffee beans on the premises. In fact, the only negative about this place is that the selection is slightly intimidating. Luckily the staff are super friendly and know everything there is to know about coffee and tea so you don’t feel daft asking anyway. Top recommendation from me!
