Try the kundle! I often dream about it, I used to live around the corner and sometimes popped in for a portion. So tasty.

Takeaways from here(home delivery) are wonderful. The only place I know which sells momos in Glasgow, and also offers paneer(Indian cheese) with all its options. They have unique Tibetan and Nepalese style food, I am not aware of other places in Glasgow which offer this. We love curries, Ceqwa has hot to mild options(hot is hot). Naans are large and teardrop shaped. Lots of vegetarian choices, and plenty for meat eaters too.

Good Nepalese/Indian takeaway. The curries taste quite different to other takeaways so makes a nice change, and there is a large menu of dishes available.

Ceqwa is a fantastic little takeaway and I am lucky to have it only a 10 minute walk from my home. The chap I usually talk to is very enthusiastic, friendly and welcoming. The food is Nepalese and Indian and my favourite is the same for me as most of my favourite Indian eateries the South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken. This is a very different one than you may have elsewhere it’s packed full of flavour and large slices of Garlic which makes this garlic fan very happy. The pilau rice is plentiful in its portion size. If you are feeling like a starter paneer pakora is one of the wide range of pakoras which does include donner meat pakora I have to confess that I have enjoyed both of these during their late opening hours of 1am on a Friday and Saturday. Well worth a visit when you are feeling snackish they also deliver too!

Available Unilocal!restaurant categories which apply to Ceqwa are Indian and Pizza. Why I travelled across from the east end to try it, however, is for its offering of authentic Nepali fare. The only place in Glasgow I have found with such a cuisine. A modest establishment with friendly staff. I ordered a portion of lamb momo(dumplings) and a bag of chips for the other half. The wait seemed long enough for the momo to be freshly prepared. I literally ran to the car for a picnic on the back seat. It had been two years since I last tasted momo in Kathmandu. Spot on. Even the creamy dipping sauce tasted the very same. While the chips were certainly of the frozen variety they hit the spot after a long day in work. Their menu is online, Bring on the Dhal Bhat.

The Ceqwa is a Nepalese take away specialising in authentic North Indian cuisine. They do home delivery from 5pm in the evening providing a wide range of starters and accompaniments, beautiful curries, kebabs, pizzas, burgers, baked potatoes and other European food and pride themselves on great service. I think they are some of the quickest deliveries I’ve ever had despite the distance they are from my home. They are well worth trying if you are after a good much after a night out or for a cosy night in. I have never been disappointed in what I have ordered from the Ceqwa!
