Chris Docherty

For I have the pride, the privilege, nay, the pleasure of introducing to you to a Community Manager, sired by Community Managers. A Community Manager who can trace his lineage back beyond Stoppelman.
I first met him atop a mountain near San Francisco, praying to Russell Simmons, asking his forgiveness for the Groupon blood spilt by his quill. Next, he amazed me still further in Dublin when he saved a fatherless beauty from the would-​be ravishing of her dreadful Qype uncle.
In Greece he spent a year in silence just to better understand the sound of a Unique User.
And so without further gilding the lily and with no more ado, I give to you, the seeker of serenity, the protector of internet virginity, the enforcer of our Almighty Unilocaling, the one, the only, Sir Christopher of Docherty!

How could I’ve not reviewed Chris ‘Chizzle’ D already?! Shame on me!
I highly recommend Chris our Community Manager as he is the amazing waistcoated man with a great beard of great responsibility and oh boy does he live up to his responsibility. He is guaranteed to find and invite you to some great Glasgow establishments. This man is in the know and knocks down doors to get us Unilocalers fandabbydozey deals and entertainment.
I would advise having a wee drink with him and get his expertise on entertaining and good bars and restaurants in town, especially in the West End.
He has turned round my social life and life without Unilocal just wouldn’t be the same.
This guy is the Unilocal king!

Awesome hair, shame about the beard… no really, the hair is awesome!
If it weren’t for this man and the social whirl he creates, to which all are invited, I would quite possibly never leave the house — well, not on a school night anyway…
His wife and children (one of which is rumoured to be mine…) are beautiful also.
I’m denying him a star only because his talent for gathering us all in the proximity of free food and drink continues to scupper my dieting efforts! Damn you, Docherty!
Ahem, er… what a guy…

He leads the way in facial hair. I’m envious, as I can only grow a wee wispy beard. *Sigh*
And yes, he may base his hairstyle on Christiano ‘Portugese Vagina’ Ronaldo, and I’m pretty certain he’s sexually aroused by waistcoats, but he is a provider of hilarity and quality Unilocal events and for this I am thankful.

Aha I love that this fine establishment is «local flavour», really could there be any more apt a description? I was wondering, lost and pointlessly through Glasgow, without purpose to my ramblings. Then this funny waist coated, moustachioed (that’s an actual word?!) man saved me. Since then there has been much beer, pakoras, and Dougie hunting. I’ve not looked back since then as Unilocal has become part of me. That an the obligatory tattoo of Chris’s snazzy face…
Alas I cannot check into Chris as I own a crackberry… Sniff. Should you all purchase phone which allow you to check into Chris? Yes. And shame on me for not doing so!

I wandered lost and lonely in a big city full of strange accents and streets with unpronounceable names.
Cold and hungry, for I had neither waistcoat nor burrito. I was desperate, at my wits end and ready to give up on Glasgow, and indeed life itself.
Then I found Chris and his band of merry Unilocalers.
Like the sun appearing from behind a dark cloud of despair and misery. I felt lifted, revitalised, ready to take on the world. I felt alive.
Much beer has flowed and many burritos consumed since that most prestigious of days, and I no longer feel like the sad shell of a man that I once was.
People have asked me «Wiggles, what was life like before Chris?»
I simply reply, «good people, what is life without life itself?»
