Description

Specialties

For me Personal Training is about helping people attain their dream goal. Whether that goal is weight loss, muscle gain, running a 10k or a marathon, progressing strength, speed, power, or endurance, looking great for that special occasion, or simply improving health and fitness.

I believe that Personal Training should encourage and motivate each individual to attain their specific goal, with an awareness and understanding of that individual’s limits. I won’t try to push you too far too fast, although I will push you. I want you to be so comfortable with the technique, form and style of each exercise, so that it will be second nature to you, and you can then concentrate on increasing weight, repetition or speed.

History

Established in 2012.

For over 20 years now, I’ve been using gyms and taking classes, and almost without fail there is at least one person that looks lost, unsure, or embarrassed because they don’t know the routine. It still astounds me that not only are classes still run like that, but that people still use them. Little or no explanation is given, you’re supposed to know all the exercises, or moves, and if you do find yourself becoming mixed up, or confused, there is no-one to point out where you are going wrong, and give helpful corrections.

I want to change that. For me Personal Training is all about the One-to-One experience. You should feel welcome, comfortable, and at ease. There should be clear, and concise, explanations and demonstrations of every exercise that you undertake, and uncritical corrections backed up with encouraging motivation. In all my Classes, I like to keep the numbers small, so that I can keep an eye on everyone and give help and motivation

Meet the Business Owner

David J.

Business Owner

Having worked in the Care Sector for 12 years, and seeing the laws of diminishing returns being applied to that area by Government, Councils, and Local Authorities, in the shape of funding cuts, I decided on a new career path. Initially thinking to become a Fitness Coach in a local gym, I caught the personal development bug, and decided why not be my own boss. Once qualified as Fitness Coach, and Personal Trainer, I wanted to add more skills to my armoury, and approached Amateur Boxing Scotland about becoming a Boxing Coach. Now Head Coach at Knightswood Boxing Club in the north of Glasgow, I coach Kids in Primary Schools Non-Contact Boxing, as well as running the Boxing Club, and providing Boxer Size classes and Boxing Bootcamps.
