Scottish shops feeding the glorious stereotype we find ourselves in. I do enjoy the tartan and Scottish heritage so can usually be tempted to buy a scarf of some clan like heritage, which gets proudly worn as the windy weather comes rolling in. Kilts and Cashmere is a nice little shop, and if you are ever in need of an overpriced piece of plastic memorabilia then come in and gander at some of the tat on offer within such an unlikely location. Well, you might not expect it in a place called Kilts and Cashmere.

…exactly what is says in the name. From tourist-style tack, like the nessie keyrings, faux tartan trousers, cheapy kilts, etc, it also sells cashmere jumpers of decent quality for around £30+. My friend managed to get tartan tights, a tartan hat, and some other touristy type items for her forgein friends(a tartan scarf — that’s it!), all for a good price. The girl behind the counter is also really nice and chatty. Worth a visit if you’re needing something tartan-or-cashmere-tastic.

You pretty much get what it says in here. I feel like this shop suffers from its location. A few minutes’ walk in one direction brings you to a louder, brasher shop(Heritage of Scotland) and a few minutes’ walk in the other and you’re at a cooler shop(Slanj). Its’ quiet, middle ground position belies the fact that they actually have some lovely stuff. I got some tartan tights in here and, although fashionable now, at the time they were quite unusual. Beware the tourist tack though!
