Riverside is a recording studio and music education complex. Studio 1 offers over 360m2 of recording space, making it one of Scotland’s largest live rooms.

We also offer a comprehensive range of SQA accredited music courses, including HNC/​HND Sound Production and HNC/​HND Music Performance. Students benefit from learning in a working commercial environment.

History

Established in 1989.

Riverside Music Complex is a family run business, initially set up as a recording studio by brothers Johnny and Duncan Cameron, their sons Jamie and Scott are now also partners.

Recent expansion has led to the complex offering a wide range of services: as well as music recording and production, it now offers a range of SQA approved courses in Sound Production, Music Performance and Music Business. Private lessons in guitar, bass, drums, piano and singing are also available to book on a one-​to-​one or group basis.

Engineer and Producer Duncan Cameron, is widely experienced, working in many different musical genres. His production/​engineering /​mixing credits include:
