looking like something the cat dragged in(thanks storm Abigail) is probably not the best look when walking into a high end jewellers but I was a woman on a mission so in I went. I was looking for a bracelet charm and they have them in a lovely easy to see display at the front of the shop, the expensive jewellery & watches are discretely displayed further back. spied the one I wanted and waited just a minute to be served. initially the shop assistant was a bit surly but she quickly redeemed herself and became chatty. Sale done & although it was a cheap item they wrapped it beautifully for free & reminded me I could come back anytime for repairs. one happy customer

I always look in the window of Thomas Sabo, and my eyes sink into a kind of puppy dog love sick stare, as I gaze at the beautiful diamondy things that lay before me. Thomas Sabo specialises in charm bracelets which are an increasingly big deal, however I am not too fussed when it comes to them. My focus in this store is the cute and quirky jewellery set in glass boxes in the walls, like orange stone set octopus necklaces and anchor pendants, which I absolutely love. They change the ranges quite a lot so if you aren’t keen on one, you don’t have long to wait till another is shipped in. Gorgeous jewellery, expensive but unique. Avoid on any occasion like Mothers Day or Valentines, as people tend to go a bit crazy!

When I think of jewellery it makes me want diamonds. I don’t have any but when I do have money that’s what I’ll be buying. Diamonds don’t go out of fashion, they’re always valuable and if you don’t like what they’re set in you can just get them set in something else. Simple. I’m not a fan of coloured jewellery, murano glass or charm bracelets and to be honest, I find them quite naff and cheap looking so I guess I’m a bit biased when reviewing Thomas Sabo who specialise in charms. I used to work in a jewellers and everyone, I mean everyone came in for their 16th, 18th, 21st, 100th birthday to buy charms. Do I want something that everyone and their gran is wearing, that costs a significant amount of money? No. I guess I just haven’t jumped on the charm bracelet band wagon and just think they’re an absolute cop out for birthdays and Christmas for people with minimal imagination. Yes, you can personalise them, to an extent but it’s still a mass produced charm bracelet! Anyways, my loathing of charm bracelets aside, Thomas Sabo does stock a heck of a lot of these bad boys so if charms are your thing then this place might be for you. It’s not just charm bracelets that you can get at Thomas Sabo, their speciality is sterling silver so you will find various other sterling silver pieces and accessories. My other vice with this shop is the layout, apart from Christmas, Valentines and Mothers Days season this shop is always quiet, as are quite a lot of other jewellery stores. I can understand the open layout for security purposes but it makes the shop look empty and the staff are always standing at the desk looking out and as soon as you walk in they stop whatever they’re doing and stare at you. It makes me feel a little uneasy to say the least so I rarely venture into Thomas Sabo. Although having said that, I did spy some nice watches in the window when I walked past the other day I just didn’t feel confident enough to actually go in. They do have some nice pieces and it is a very popular shop, many girls would love to have a piece of Thomas Sabo, so guys take note. It’s just not my bag.

Thomas Sabo is a very high end jeweller based in the Buchanan Galleries. Along with their trademark bulldog mascots(model ones, not live ones, I hasten to add) you’ll find a stunning range of jewellery and watches on display in their store. A particular favourite of Thomas Sabo are charm bracelets. Here you’ll find a wonderful selection of charms, ranging from tiny silver cassette tapes to little polka dot bikinis. I could waste quite a large part of my day entertaining myself with their charm display. In fact, the charms are probably the one thing in the shop that I could buy without bankrupting myself! Aside from the charms and watches, you will find some really special and quirky jewellery in this shop. And yes, that does include bulldog pendants! You’ll need a budget of a couple of thousand to really get the best out of this place. But hey, I’m sure you all deserve it!

I still remember receiving my first ever charm at the tender age of 11 which I wore round my neck on a shoelace(I know, I know, super cool, eh?). I added to collection on every special occasion with a charm being a favourite present of mine — soon my shoelace round my neck said everything about my identity. And so I rejoice the re-introduction of charm bracelets which have become so fashionable once again and, I believe, this is partly due to Thomas Sabo. Thomas Sabo has hundreds of beautiful charms as well as different types of bracelets to suit all tastes. It is expensive, as is all the gorgeous jewellery here, and you are paying for the name but if you’re looking for a very special present this is a fantastic place to find it. Exquisite at the extreme.

Thomas Sabo specialises in silver charm bracelets — always in fashion with young women. They also do a range of watches, which are very expensive, but nothing out of the ordinary, style-wise. The charms are lovely, and they have some really nice ones, like Disney characters, star signs and buddhas. Their jewellery collections are also really well-designed, unusual and edgy. They do have a men’s range, which I initially thought was for women. Put it this way: I wouldn’t date a guy wearing it. Men shouldn’t wear jewellery, especially diamanté hearts. I intend to shop here when I’m rich and famous, I just can’t afford it right now.
