Tip Top Shoe Repairs

I got into an awful lot of trouble last time I paid a visit to this traditional shoe repair shop and although my stern telling off was well deserved I’m a little scared to go back as I’m not too kind to my shoes.
I guess the story starts a couple of years ago, I was in New York strolling up Fifth Avenue with my bags full to bursting with shopping at bargain prices, it was amazing. After heading to the shoe department of Saks I saw the most stunning pair of Louboutins and I just had to have them. I’m not a big fan of designer anything but I do love my shoes and I figured my shoe collection would never be complete without these bad boys. Probably the most impulsive buy of my life but I was armed with Christmas money and it was $ 2 for £1 so it was a now or never moment. I’m glad it was a now moment — I adore them.
I guess such shoes should probably be kept in a glass case and admired, but not mine. I have them on at every opportunity there is. And I guess it’s almost sacrilege to treat them in such a way but hey, shoes are for wearing after all and they look too good to hide away in a box. So after a good too many night out of dancing in them I took them along to Tip Top Shoe Repairs as they were badly needing re-​heeled and I got an earful as the re-​heeling was long overdue. I have to say, he did an amazing job and they pretty much look as good as new. It has put me off wearing my trusty old Lou’s and I’ve decided that I should probably treat them with the respect they deserve, which is not the sticky floors of Bamboo. So I guess I learnt a valuable lesson from Tip Top Repairs, and if you’re needing shoe repairs then I would definitely recommend this place!

A tiny shop tucked off of the main Mount Florida drag, this is genuinely a find. The shop has a small white front with red lettering that is easy to miss — even if you are looking for it!
Inside is a small area to queue along the counter and not much more. However, the service leaves nothing to be desired. It is immediate and to the highest standard. Likewise, the quality of the work is excellent and your shoes/​boots will even come back cleaner than they went in. Additionally, the pricing is amazing, you can expect to get a pair of ladies boots re-​soled and re-​heeled for as little as £14! Excellent!

I’ve been to this cobblers a few times now and it’s fantastic. Their rates are very reasonable and each time I’ve been, the friendly staff have been able to get my shoes fixed in half an hour.

This is a brilliant cobblers! The owner is so friendly and helpful, and the service is second to none. They fix your shoes very quicky — often in under 30 minutes — and the results are great — the heels last so much longer than when I have had them done in high street stores. They are also very good value for money and are half the price of chain brands. Situated just off Cathcart Road in Mount Florida, they are easy to find and have good opening hours.
