This is a well situated university although I still think of it as a college as it only gained the status of university within the past few years. The access to the college is good via road and rail. The two campuses are easy enough to find it somehow does not feel as daunting as some universitys though. The Courses are varied but the well known course here is definately nursing. The staff are supportive and the college has a reasonably priced café where you can get a good cup of coffee during your break. The library is a fair size but you are best to get in quick to get the book you are needing as they do not tend to stock a lot of one book in my opinion.

Now Know at the University for the West of Scotland. It has two campuses the Almada Building and the Caird Building. It’s main courses are nursing but they also have courses on Social, Legal, Sports etc. This college is slap bang in the middle of Hamilton and has a good academic reputation. It also has a huge library but to be honest it doesn’t always supply everything that everyone needs but it has the basic books and functions. The gym is rather dated and the social supplies cheap drink but is in need for renovation. A good college which gives a great higher education.

Now known as the University of The West of Scotland Hamilton Campus, it still offers a wide variety of courses for young and old students alike. Staff are friendly and helpful whether you are in the library or in class and there is a great deal of time and energy put in to support students on any of the courses. A café is available on the first floor which opens around 4.30pm and offers good value for money serving coffee, tea and various snacks. Parking can be an issue with not a huge amount available, but there are four disabled parking spaces close to the door at the back, and several located close to the front.
