My parents wanted to take the kids for a fun day out when we went up north to visit them recently. We thought Go Ballistic would be the best option since they were the closest to my parents place. We’ve been with another paintball provider back home, and figured it’d be at least as good — especially when they boast to be the UKs largest paintball network! How wrong we were! Firstly, we got to a centre in complete shambles. Although I don’t expect anyone to greet us by name, it would have been nice for one of the guys(I think they’re called marshals) to at least acknowledge that we turned up and give us some info(where to go, where toilets are). Unfortunately we got none of that. There were quite a lot of people when we went, and there didn’t appear to be enough staff to cover the day. The marshals weren’t very interested in customer service either. My son went up to one of them to ask them something and they kept talking to each other while he was just standing there! It wasn’t until I went up and stood next to him that they acknowledge him. I guess they get paid to chat to each other and play on their phones. A while after that, we finally got to head out and play. Like I said before, we’d been to another paintball site by a different company and were blown away by the game zones! Unfortunately the same can’t be said for these guys. They weren’t very creative with the designs — a few bits of wood here, a few tires there! Then on top of that, the games were ending too quickly! After all that, the paintballs were just too expensive. Really not worth the costs. Then, to end the day, one of the marshals swore in front of my kid! When I approached him about it he gave some half hearted apology then muttered something under his breath as he walked off. I told the Manager but he didn’t seem too concerned. I agree wholeheartedly with the other review here — not worth the time and money!
