The ladies who run the St Francis shop are simply wonderful. They are friendly and willing to help. I often go in there with my 2 little girls, and they are happy for the children to run riot in the toy section while I look through the clothes and books! Bovingdon is a fairly salubrious neighbourhood, so most of the items that are donated are high quality, and the prices are cheap as chips. It is not unknown for me to feel the need to give them extra money for something because I thought it was too cheap. They do have a seperate area at the end of the shop for toys and books, which is quite good as it keeps the children in one place and not over-running the whole place. it also keeps them well away from any breakables, which was a smart move on the part of whoever set it up. If you’re lucky you can park right outside, but it is on my way to several of my usual shopping haunts, so it’s very convenient for me to just stop in on my way to or from somewhere else.
