Andrew Wright Roofing offers traditional roofing services including leadwork, stone tiling, slating, and shingling. We use new and reclaimed materials. We work throughout Herefordshire on period properties, timber framed houses, barn conversions, country cottages, farm houses and buildings, churches and public buildings, extensions and new houses. Our business is based on quality workmanship and good customer service.

We also hire out ‘Octopussy’ Access Platforms: narrow access platforms, self propelled on tracks which have a working height of up to14m (46ft) and are narrow enough to go through a garden gate. They have a one man basket with space for hand tools. Service includes delivery and collection.

History

Established in 2005.

Andrew Wright Roofing is a small family firm, nestled in the golden valley in Herefordshire. Over the last fifteen years Andrew has worked throughout Herefordshire building and repairing roofs of every design and size. Working closely with our clients, Andrew guides them through the process from beginning to end; explaining the choices available to them, to help them to achieve a roof which will not only stand the test of time, but is sympathetic to the building, attractive, and pleasing on the eye.

The Access Platform Hire started in 2005 as Sky Hook Hire Ltd and was amalgamated into the roofing business in 2009. The machines have been hired by businesses, charities and individuals to provide a safe working platform for a broad spectrum of uses including roof works and repairs; tree surgery and hedge trimming; painting and decorating; and general building maintenance. Born in Herefordshire and from a farming background, Andrew worked for Hayes & Sons Roofing for 10 years before starting his own business in 2005. Leadwork is one of Andrew’s specialities as are traditional materials such as new and reclaimed stone tiles, Welsh and Brazilian slates, clay tiles and shingles.
