History

Established in 2011.

Having worked in the Aerospace Industry for 30 years I took the opportunity of redundancy to start my own business. I got my City & Guilds qualification in August 2009.

I worked as a Portable Appliance Technician at a Leeds based company for a year to ‘hone’ my skills and in 2011 started PATman Testing Ltd.

I do PAT Testing for many local Schools, Businesses and private individuals, and have a firm repeat customer base.

After 30 years working for BAE SYSTEMS, 2009 gave me the opportunity of voluntary redundancy, this seemed a good time to leave and look for new challenges.

I had always wanted to run my own business, so took advantage of the learning opportunities offered for those taking redundancy and decided I would like to learn more about electrics.

Having gained my City & Guilds Certificates in Inspecting and Testing of Electrical Equipment I then joined a Leeds based company to further my knowledge. A year later I decided I was ready to start my own business and launched PATman Testing Ltd.

I have run this business for nearly two years now and even in the current economic climate the business is growing.

I am a firm believer in life long learning and strive to achieve the best in every job I do.
