Sheraton Heathrow Hotel

Stayed here in November 2015 to catch early flight out next morning. I have stayed at many of the hotels near Heathrow, including this one (Sheraton Heathrow) and the other one (Sheraton Skyline), and this is clearly one that is «average» or «below» in terms of facility. Set your expectations accordingly.
With full knowledge of the scary stains on the floor, the construction, and the lack of upgrade rooms (I’m an SPG Platinum). Why would I stay again? Price and convenience.
The pre-​paid price for this hotel was less than 50% of other hotels; it is convenient enough (the Hoppa bus is 15 minutes from the terminals), and the staff is generally very nice although sometimes inexperienced.
It’s your basic flop-​house before the flight out the next day: the bed is good, soundproofing is OK (I’m pretty tired anyway), hot water works, water pressure is nice, and the breakfast is above average.
You get what you pay for!

Rude service. Bad location in London: do yourself a favor stay somewhere else in the most amazing city in the world. Absolutely rude people when I try to talk to them on the phone.

This should be called a Four Points, not Sheraton!
I knew this wasn’t going to be a good hotel, just needed a cheap place for a night close to the airport… but honestly — I wasn’t expecting it to be like this.
Room: The rooms are beyond tiny (I was told I got upgrade to a suite, really?) The TV looks like it’s from 1999 and the whole rooms just feels old, really old. Not up to standard for a sheraton.
Lounge: Ok selection of breakfast, easy to grab something in the morning.
Restaurant: Food was bad and overpriced, expecting overpriced, but the food was really bad.
Location: Near the airport, but absolutely nothing around this place. Only a Mcdonalds across the street if you are desperate.
At least the rooms are clean, avoid if you can.

Halt ein typisches Business-​Hotel in England und in der Naehe des Flughafen. Die Zimmer klein, das Badezimmer noch kleiner und alles sehr wenig abgenutzt.
Wenn man sich das Angebot in der der Bath Road anschaut, ist’s aber eh egal, wo man eincheckt. Alles das Gleiche!
Naechste Woche bin ich wieder da — zum Uebernachten.

Wow service was very uninspiring. I say this because not only do they take forever to pick up the phone, the service clerk has me feeling like I’m a pest. All I asked was why the fridge was locked.
Everything else felt fine. :)

When in London, having to stay by Heathrow Airport sucks in and of itself. One of the world’s most iconic cities just 20 miles to the east and all I have is a view of a 747 waiting to refuel. Will try to keep my mindset re: the relative geography out of the review but be forewarned.
That said, this hotel is lacking. A complimentary buffet breakfast is pretty standard in European hotels so they get no points from me on that count. Where they lose points is that the breakfast itself is pretty disappointing. Wide selection but cooked and tastes like a buffet. Coffee, by American standards is horrendous/​horrific so I stuck to the tea and had coffee DTs for the duration of my stay.
Room itself was large by UK standards and the bed and bath were fine. If you’re just looking for a good night’s sleep, this place does its job. Even in the dead of winter I managed to stay pretty warm.
Noticed a lot of negative comments re: customer service and the staff. No such complaints here but also didn’t have a lot of needs. No wait at check in or check out and everyone seemed nice.
We ugly Americans have come to expect a free shuttle from terminal to any airport side hotel. That’s part of the give and take one expects for having to smell jet fuel and staying at a hotel that’s typically in the less desirable parts of most metro areas. No such luxury here. £12 to £15 cab ride to get here from Terminal 3. Given the 1.8 exchange rate to dollars on the day I was here anyway — this wasn’t cheap. Two other options included a shared bus for a bit less or a free train ride to the central bus terminal to hop on a bus. Lugging bags around, this last option isn’t all that appealing.
If travelling to London, give yourself at least an hour. There’s a bus stop that’s a short walk away that takes you back to the central bus terminal as mentioned above where you can catch the tube to the city. With no delays, this will take you 45 minutes to an hour to get to Westminster as a point of reference. A cab will run £50 but its not really any quicker given the traffic situation going in and out of London.
If you really want your Starwood points, there is another Sheraton by the airport. While I didn’t stop in, I’m told the Sheraton Skyline (about 2 miles east on the same road) is a lot newer if nothing else at roughly the same price. If ever in the same «you have to stay by the airport» scenario, I’ll check that out as an alternative. But if I had to plan this trip again — I would have stayed in town and commuted to the airport for my business meeting.

Obnoxious front desk!!! No call back from manager!!! You can save quite a bit of money at nearby hotels. I travel too much to stay at hotels with terrible customer service.

Clean and nice and really cheap. I decided to stay at the Sheraton near the airport since I have an early flight. After staying in a hotel in London at 4x the price, the Sheraton actually topped the experience even at lower prices. The hotel is pretty newly remodeled. Bathroom is very clean with modern fixtures. Big flat panel TV. The club room (should you have access) has free internet access and beverage with leather couches. Nice place to get some work done. Check in was quick and breakfast included. Not bad.

I visited this hotel for a 3 day conference. The conference center is nice and great décor, but the customer service leaves A LOT to be desired! I went to the restaurant to order a bowl of soup to go (in order to be on time for my class) and they told me they weren’t allowed. «You have to call room service.» What? So I have to pay 2 extra pounds to serve it to me? Ridiculous.
I also visited the bar for lunch the next day, and got mildly rude service there too. Considering the price of a beer, around 6 pounds and soup for 7 pounds, I would expect much, much more.

Flying back from FRA to SFO via LHR on BA in F on miles e had to do an overnite in London. Since it was a fairly late arrival, I decided to stay close to the airport. I have SPG points so I thought a Starwood property close by would be ideal. Well, the cab ride to this airport hotel was 13 GBP. Upon arrival at about 9.40 pm the check-​in took some time since the printer was not working. The staff was quite apologetic. I inquired about restaurants. Yes, but they stop serving at 10. Ok, we had a few minutes to run up to the room, drop off the bags, and make it back down with 5 mins to spare. Oh, no! We close at 9.30. The front desk doesn’t know!
Airport hotel! Restaurant closes at 9.30 pm!?! If this were a hotel 6 or something like that, ok. But for a Sheraton Airport Hotel, no. Compare the FRA Airport Shearaton.
