On first impression the pub looks very dated. The furniture, the music, the toilets. Everything Is dated.
However, It is clean and cared for and the staff are very attentive, polite and quick to help. The fire is always roaring away and there are local ales to sample.
We have eaten there a number of times now and Our food on every occasion has been consistently brilliant. It doesn’t pretend to be something it is not. The food is always very fresh, full of flavour, and you get hearty portions, at a modest prices. It’s presented nicely and tastes great. You really won’t be disappointed with the food here.
would I recommend it? YES!
I just wish they’d redecorate and change that soundtrack!
