Road Runners Gatwick

Rubbish….never showed up for a 03.30am pick up to airport….nearly missed flight! Neighbours say he arrived at 4.15am some 45mins late. Totally unreliable!

No call /​text to suggest possible lateness. So, I called them at 7 mins late. Was given the «he’s just around the corner» line. This was a blatant lie. He wasn’t even on his way. 15 minutes later I call back as still no sign. Some commotion. They say they will get the driver to call me. He calls. He has not been given the specific directions I gave the office along with the address and postcode (I thought best be belt & braces!) — in fact he has gone to the next town. This is all the more frustrating as their office is just 2 miles from my house so should know the area. Driver tells me he will be 12 more minutes according to his satnav. I have now missed the cheaper and more reliable bus having held out for the taxi. He arrives 15 more minutes later by which time I have walked with my bags to an ‘easier’ pick up point; a junction. I get in and say ‘get me to the south terminal fast or I’ll miss my flight”. He replies, «I’m not from this area, how do I get there?». Need I say more…

DREADFUL COMPANY SHOULD HAVE LICENCES REMOVED AND BANNED FROM TRADING! My friend booked Road Runners taxis to bring his daughter from horley at 5 in the morning. They came down the A217 where the road was closed and then told her if they had to go back to avoid the road closure they would have to charge her more. Because she did not have enough money the driver made her get out and walk the rest of the way home on her own. Rang to complain and they couldn’t give a toss. So dangerous. How can any taxi firm put a young girl at risk like this! DISGUSTING!!!
