Desi Flava

After several visits, found the service to have deteriorated each time (it was never good from the first visit). Food is often cold and smells off, service is very slow, with only a few tables of customers in and 5 or 6 waiting staff hanging around, it’s really worrying that they just ignore customers. Even if you request ice for your drink, it seems to be too much trouble.
On one visit whilst we were dining there was a chap in with his girlfriend who apparently was a waitress there previously chasing up her wages. The guy was ranting and raving at the staff for well over half an hour, much to the dismay of all the other customers in the restaurant. Absolute no attempt was made to calm him down or ask him to lower his voice and he was threatening to bring his friends down. I actually found this behaviour really intimidating and couldn’t understand why they didn’t call the police.
The toilets are really shocking and even after informing staff on our last visit that the toilets needed cleaning up (the ladies toilet floor was soaking wet with a huge puddle making it impossible to use), the staff completely ignored this request and continued to sit around chatting with each other. When I tried again 45 minutes later, they had done nothing to clean up the mess.
Food remains on the floor, furniture falling apart, dirty table and no sign of the staff clearing tables after customers leave for ages makes this a restaurant I would not choose to visit again.

I have done quite a few takeaways from here as I liked the taste of the food. I went for a sit in meal for the first time last Saturday (2÷4÷11). They didn’t have enough bottled water to serve and had run out of glasses. it took forever to be served. But my worst nightmare was when I was served it was very very clear I had been served someones LEFTOVERS

I became a «Desi Flava addict» in summer 2008 when the food was outstanding, the service professional and the ambience perfect. I didn’t mind the queue outside the restaurant, which itself testified the quality of food that was served. I don’t know what went wrong there after — the quality of food dropped all of a sudden and the service absolutely lousy. I am just back from Desi Flava with my wife and we are never ever going back until things improve — The Dahi puri was served soggy, the Sev Puri smelled old and to make things worse, they served a wrong dish after making us wait for 30 mins — and NO APOLOGIES after that !!! My advice is — Stay away !! Hounslow has loads of other restaurants which offer superior quality food.

Food is junk type cheap and service is poor — very poor. Avoid this at all cost unless going for just few rounds of drinks and make sure you get out without eating. Do yourself a favour by avoding desi flava !
