I went here for an evening function. It was adequate. Nothing to write home about, but nothing terribly wrong, either. Parking is a bit tricky and quite limited. Although the restaurant and the event areas can accommodate lots of people, the car park cannot. They provided butlered hors d’oeuvres on attractive slate trays. They were tasty. The cash bar in the event room was pretty sparsely appointed and the young lad serving as a bartender had not much experience tending bar. No serious missteps, but nothing to make it a special experience worth repeating.

I went for Christmas lunch here with my family and actually had a really nice time although the food was a bit of a let down. Service was excellent throughout — the staff were very friendly and handled a big group(and my almost deaf dad) very well. The restaurant is also lovely but I imagine the atrium style gets incredibly hot. I had quite a nice baked camembert starter although I thought it was going to be one of those giant wheels so insisted my niece share with me instead of getting her own — it turned out just to be a little bit in pastry — oops. The main course was not so good — the beef was very overdone and was really too tough to be pleasant to eat. My sister had a lamb shank that looked incredible though, she got a lot of food envy. I’d give it another chance but as it’s pretty expensive I’d consider other options first.
