To say this place serves «Authentic New York Italian» food is both an insult to New Yorkers and Italians!!! I should know since I am an Italian American from NY!
The food is dismal, bland, and worst of all, over priced. Nothing about our meal was satisfactory. First I was served a drink (a mojito) that was 90% ice. I took 5 sips and it was completed, not worth the £6+ pounds charged for it! My son had a bottle of Snapple Lemonade they charged us over £5 for which was equally as ridiculous. For appetizer, we had the fried zucchini fritto which was not made the way it should have been which traditionally is breaded and fried. This was battered and fried and served greasy, soggy and tasted like old bad oil.
For entrees, my husband had the Margarita Pizza and I had the Spaghetti Carbonara. My dish was so completely bland and lacking any flavor, I made the waiter come back twice to add grated cheese so it would taste like something! My husband’s pizza was just disgusting!!! It tasted no better than if you put ketchup on a piece of white bread and sprinkled some cheese on top! Simply awful!!!
The final insult to this terrible meal was waiting for over 20 minutes to be handed our check for almost £75. Needless to say, we will never eat at this place ever again. I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative Unilocal review, but this place was so bad, I felt I had to!
Frankie & Benny’s should not have the right to call themselves a NY Italian restaurant. Even the food in a crappy «Olive Garden» restaurant in America, is 100x better than this garbage food was!!!

Terrible service, on the two occasions I’ve been. Having worked in the industry for a long time, I’ve tipped every single time I’ve ever gone out for a meal, even if I don’t really like the food or the waiter is a bit useless (as long as they’re apologetic). I ended up not only not tipping, but complained and told the manager that there was no way I was paying full price.
I came on New Years Eve last year with three friends, once we were sat down they took just over twenty minutes to take our drinks order. It took a further twenty minutes for our drinks to arrive, by that time we asked if we could order our food but was told to wait (it really doesn’t take long to take an order down). Eventually when the food arrived, two of our meals were wrong. We didn’t get an apology, or see the waiter who took our order again who was obviously embarrassed. My friend asked for ice from a different waiter and they slammed down a glass of it and walked off.
I asked to see the blonde manager who just stood there staring at me when she came over to our table before I told her what happened– I guess this was common practice for her. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt by suggesting that perhaps there were not enough staff on the night which is why the service was so slow. She replied ‘there were enough staff’, I then said that if that was the case, the staff are very poorly trained and the customer service is appalling.
She gave us 25% off, which we still weren’t happy about. We spoke to another manager who was beautiful and really nice. She gave us 50% off and vouchers (not that we ever used them!). That’s how it should have been done in the first place, I hope for her sake that she has moved on somewhere else.
Never going here again!

I have been twice to this restaurant since my son is at University in Kingston. We love the atmosphere and the food. Customer service is second to none. Everyone is extremely polite and friendly. It is well priced being in London and for the three of us to eat here it was around £70. That was starters and main courses with drinks.
In true American style sometimes there is a spontaneous burst of Happy Birthday which all the customers usually join in. It all contributes towards the friendly atmosphere.
They deserve to do well. there are not many places where the staff really do want to give customer satisfsaction.

Distinctly average. Get ‘em in, fill ‘em up and get ‘em out sort of place. Fairly well placed if you want to eat something substantial before going to the cinema and spending a mortgage worth on pick ‘n’ mix, but it’s probably worth taking the extra 15 mins to find somewhere a little bit better.

good good and good. love the italiano food, great garlic flat bread, wasn’t cheesy was healthy. had the creamy pasta. however it took time for someone to give us a bill.

So this is what New York is supposed to taste like across the pond then? With the exchange rate what it is, perhaps the owners and chefs at Frankie & Benny’s should try a little Trans-​Atlantic voyage to see what the food is supposed to taste like, cuz this ain’t it!
From their appetizers to pasta to pizza, everything was severely lacking. They even somehow managed to mess up my diet coke. The place wouldn’t even be memorable if it wasn’t so dang… blah.
