Delightful little deli with sandwiches, wraps, soup, and salad. I had the smoked chicken wrap with a side of potato leek soup, and a cup of tea. Friendly staff: I got the feeling this is a small-town place. They greeted many of the customers by name and asked if they wanted their usual.

Thames Ditton needs a place for the yummy mummies to flock, and when I came here it was full of them; mummies, babies, push chairs outside. I had never been here before, so navigated my way around the munchkins to see what I could have to eat. The Lime Tree is set in very small premises, there are only around 4 tables, and all the deli stock is packed into shelves along the wall. I spied lots of yummy looking jams and preserves, as well as a range of crackers filled with herbs like thyme, sage and cracked black pepper. The front of the shop is a cheese counter and a place to pick up coffees and paninis. The owners are definitely on to a winner here– Thames Ditton does not have a deli, so this is most welcome. I just wish that they had bigger premises to play with — when these babies get bigger they are going to need more floor space!
